On August 8 (UPI), Los Angeles — The All-American Girls Professional Baseball League was the subject of the 1992 film A League of Their Own, according to Abbi Jacobson, whose Prime Video series A League of Their Own, which debuts on Friday, is more based on that league's history.

In a recent Zoom interview with UPI, 38-year-old Jacobson said, "The movie doesn't need to be redone.
